Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Best protocol by BJ
HBOT involves breathing pure oxygen (100%) in a pressurized chamber at anything above atmospheric pressure (2 ATA, atmospheres absolute, is equivalent to being 33 feet under seawater).
The increased pressure enhances the lungs' ability to absorb oxygen, boosting oxygen levels throughout the body. The therapy aims to promote rejuvenation by increasing oxygen concentration in tissues, supporting healing, cellular repair, and vascularization (the growth of blood vessels).

NOTE: Important: do not take any electronics into the chamber as it creates a fire risk.
- Recommends maybe 20 sessions every 3 months
- Sessions cant be too far apart
- cost is a few hundred per session
Protocol
Hard-shell chamber
- pressurized with normal ambient air at 21% oxygen
- fire hazards at higher oxygen levels
- 90 minutes per session
- 2.0 ATA (equivalent to 33ft underwater)
Breathing
- 20 minutes of 100% oxygen via mask
- 5 minute air break
- 90 minutes total per session
- 5 sessions per week - total 60 sessions over 12 weeks, 2 days off
Chamber
Clinical Use Cases
- Treating carbon monoxide poisoning
- Supporting chronic wounds with success in diabetics
- Recovery of radiation injuries
- Supporting recovery from sport injuries
