What to look for

• Display: 220 ppi or greater
  • Macbook states retina which trends between 220-250ppi
    • marketing to mean unable to notice pixels from normal viewing distance
    • so 4k on a 14in screen is too much
• Speakers:
  • Must be placed on top of keyboard side (not underneath)
  • 84 db or higher to hear throughout bedroom loudly
• Ram/Memory: 32gb+ (as of 2026)
• SSD/Storage: 1TB+ (as of 2026)
• Various ports
• Aesthtics of keyboard/top
• Feel of keyboard & Trackpad
• Graphics card
• Processor multitasking capability
